I’ve seen plenty of installs where the motor itself is solid, but the mounting plate is undersized or the wiring is messy. That’s why I always recommend Rhodan’s aluminum mounting plates over plastic: they’re rigid, they won’t flex under load, and they’re corrosion‑proof.
If you’re running a 36V or 48V system, don’t skimp on the circuit breaker. A 50‑amp breaker will protect your motor and wiring from a short. And if you fish in rough water, the RAM stabilizer is worth its weight in gold—it keeps the motor head from bouncing and reduces wear on the internal gears.
